Food
One of Ken's great passions was food.
It was central to his life and, along with music, was a major connection he shared with his wife, Helen. From cooking it, to sharing it with family and friends and bringing it into his work through the hotel venture in Scotland and his radio programmes, most notably the series, Eater’s Digest.
The Food Mix on the Ken Sykora Radio Station is a brief example of how he would mix his passion for food with his amazing knowledge of music to create a bite sized piece of entertainment!

Ken collected hundreds of recipes, which he tried and tested and transcribed into his personal recipe bible, which he titled 'Ken's Kitchen'.
The family tradition is continued through Ken's daughter and chef, Alison Sykora. Having run her own restaurant,
she is now a food consultant and culinary adventurer.
Here she cooks one of the recipes from Ken's Kitchen, a starter for a traditional Sykora Christmas dinner:
borscht and savoury cheesecakes.
Bon appétit!
